LMS

An LMS (learning management system) is a system for gathering courses, assigning them to employees, and tracking who has completed them.

LMS stands for learning management system. It is the type of system a company uses to keep track of its internal learning. Courses live in one place, employees are assigned what they need to take, and managers and HR can follow progress.

An LMS solves three main tasks. It gathers the content so no one has to dig through folders and emails. It controls who gets what, for example based on department or role. And it documents who has completed what, which matters for compliance and certification.

Many older LMSs were built for large training departments and require a lot of setup. Skillflow is a learning platform where you build courses directly in the platform, group them into programs, and assign them to groups.
